Autism is an epidemic. The questions are many, but the answers are few.

It isn't simply genetic, environmental, neurological or biological. It is all of these. Some children are born with compromised immune systems while others develop immune deficiencies through repeated exposure to disease and overzealous use of antibiotics. This growing population of children is unable to fight illness and rid their bodies of toxins, often exhibiting multiple allergies, dietary restrictions and digestive disorders. Their suffering is silent and subsequently ignored by those allegedly concerned about their healthcare — pediatricians, insurance carriers, pharmaceutical companies and government agencies.

Though there are many sources of environmental toxins, none are as universal as those contained in childhood vaccinations. Not every child is allergic to bee stings, peanuts or strawberries, yet every year thousands of children face life-threatening reactions to such routine exposures. The same is true of vaccines. Despite the undisputed neurotoxicity of metals-based vaccine preservatives, the Centers for Disease Control and the pharmaceutical industry continue to allow their use, needlessly exposing nearly every American child to doses that well exceed Environmental Protection Agency safety guidelines.

While the majority show few immediate signs of distress, many children suffer adverse reactions ranging from fever and convulsions to paralysis and death. These symptoms are callously deemed acceptable by a government that advocates public health at the cost of individual health — ultimately achieving neither. The untold victims are those children whose serious reactions are not readily apparent, but are revealed over time. The loss of language, social isolation, atypical neurological behaviors and other developmental delays that follow compounded exposure to vaccine preservatives in children with already weakened immune and digestive systems is the biological origin of autism.

Autism is a crime. There are obvious suspects and mounting evidence.

There are perpetrators and accomplices, shills and pawns. Studies and investigations suggesting a likely connection between vaccine preservatives and autism are discounted and buried, while revised studies cleverly engineered to disprove the link are touted as absolute and meet with limited independent scientific scrutiny. The incestuous relationship between the Centers for Disease Control and the pharmaceutical industry results in an insidious shell game, with researchers, physicians and parents constantly guessing which life-saving drug will later prove dangerous, debilitating or deadly. The United States government manages public policy like a parlor trick and those who continue to play the game do so at their peril.

Schools and daycare programs deny access to parents who refuse to submit their children to vaccinations whose potential risks outweigh the purported protection from diseases that are far more rare and treatable than autism. Insurance companies hound and hassle those who seek biomedical intervention for their autistic children while educational therapies are rarely covered. Specialized schools and service providers who do work with autistic children are similarly stymied by bureaucratic bungling, government agency overlap and phantom funding resources. The concept of early intervention is reduced to a punchline in the face of redundant qualifying evaluations and waiting lists that are months if not years long.

All the while, the rate of autism continues to increase, as do pharmaceutical company profits, the salaries of public health officials and congressional campaign war chests, not to mention the comfortable perks of such lucrative cooperation. More than 30 million American children have received levels of mercury and aluminum through vaccinations deemed categorically unsafe by the Food and Drug Administration. As an agency that has a record for rubber-stamping new drugs only to later reveal damning studies of their sometimes lethal side affects, can we so quickly dismiss such a dire warning from an organization that has let so much else slide on their watch? Suppressing the connection between vaccine preservatives and autism doesn't require a vast conspiracy, just enough money to lubricate a system that rewards those who facilitate the path of least resistance and enough players to establish plausible deniability for all involved.

Autism is a war. The enemy is indifference and the casualties are our children.

Despite overwhelming clinical evidence to the contrary, the United States government and its respective agencies repeatedly deny a connection between the dramatic increase in the recommended course of childhood vaccinations and a matched increase in the diagnosis rate of autism and other learning disabilities. These actions are motivated by a self-serving system plagued by those who answer only to aspirations of greed and power. They are the inevitable consequence of a healthcare bureaucracy, news media and court system that are heavily influenced by the drug lobby, advertising budgets and judicial hypocracy. A basic charge of democratic government is to protect its citizens from harm, and while there is much chest-pounding and finger-pointing about defending Americans from foreign armies and infiltrators, an equally, if not more, dangerous foe whispers quietly in the ear of Congress.

The age of nations has passed. In their place are shadow governments manipulated by multinational corporations — key among them, those who comprise the pharmaceutical industry. Why do so many of our lawmakers leave Capitol Hill for better salaries as drug lobbyists on K Street? Why does the Homeland Security Act specifically protect vaccine manufacturers from legal liability? Why does the Medicaid Prescription Drug Act forbid the government from negotiating lower drug prices, yet deem it likewise illegal for citizens to import those same medications from overseas for less? No individual or agency of the United States government or its pharmaceutical company collaborators can oversee America's vaccination safety procedures and claim innocence. They are all guilty, complicit or negligent.

It is our obligation as patriots and parents to resist the policies of a corrupt government that knowingly and willfully seeks to poison our children, debilitate an entire generation and does so for the preservation of profit and power. There are many support and service organizations available to the parents and families of autistic children — groups whose efforts are essential in their recovery. However, few have been willing or able to take the fight to those responsible. Information is a formidable weapon and guerilla tactics are effective against even the largest adversary. Let this website serve as a gathering point and strategic platform to wage a war of awareness. We will demand legislative action, discredit pharmaceutical industry deceptions and hold key figures personally accountable. We will question the oath of objectivity taken by journalists whose content is tainted by their advertisers and parent corporations. We will launch information initiatives to educate an unsuspecting public that they must take responsibility for their children's health and welfare, as others who claim to do so may have their own agendas. We will reveal the ongoing efforts to conceal the causal relationship between mercury and other metals-based vaccine preservatives and the rising rate of autism. We will take these actions and use any means necessary to ensure our message can no longer be ignored.

Resist. Inform. Fight. This is the Mercury Manifesto.

Thank you to all those who made the trip to DC for the Green Our Vaccines rally yesterday, and the family and friends who helped support them at home so they could attend.

It is too easy for the media to note only those who marched without considering the care and costs associated with the attending the event. Many were only able to go because one parent took off from work so the other could carry the message about vaccine injury. Friends and extended family not only attended the rally, but also helped so parents could both go.

Many families affected by autism make diffficult financial decisions daily, choosing between treatments and therapies not covered by most insurance plans. Absorbing the travel costs to attend the rally is no small measure for these families and unfortunately kept many from being able to attend at all.

I hope all of those who could make it share their outrage and passion with families in their communities who couldn't --as well as their doctors, therapists and educators who still doubt the connection between vaccine safety and autism.

I just wanted to thank you all for this great website. Eventually, the government will see the error of it's ways. Remember 100 years ago ALL the medical community KNEW bleeding out was good for us, and those who spoke out against it were laughed at and called foolish for their beliefs. We are not wrong to not poison our children.

I understand how important this fight is to parents and everyone on this site. But I think you should google such studies as the Doja and Roberts (2006)research that demonstrates concrete evidence that this blog does not provide.
